This is a free clinic where we work with you to provide contraception that suits you and your lifestyle.
We offer:
- Contraception counselling – we can help you explore the best option for your contraception needs.
- Jadelle insertion and removal – these are 2 small rods which are inserted just under the skin of your arm.
- IUD insertion and removal – these are either hormonal or non-hormonal devices that are put into your uterus.
- Oral and depo provera contraception – we can offer the first dose of pills or injection if this is what you decide on.
All contraceptives and services in this clinic are free for women who are New Zealand citizens or residents and live within the Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau area.

Please note, this is a teaching clinic and we often train Health Practitioners such as Doctors, Nurses and Midwives.
